Game P.A.D.
Game P.A.D.
Game P.A.D. (Personal Assistive Device) is final design outcome of my final project in college.
The brief was to design a gaming controller for users with cerebral palsy, particularly hemiplegia. I chose this disability as it affects a large percentage of children. As a child I relied a lot on video games as a form of escapism. So the thought of children with already troublesome circumstances not being able to use video games as a form of escapism became my motivation for this project.

The Final Design:
My final design came in the form of a modular controller.
With an array of female usb-c ports on the surface of an ergonomic board, the user with cerebral palsy can place modules which contain controller functions at any point on the point.
This allows them to create their own controller to suit their needs.
