Hand Re-Lever
This was a group project inspired by Fixperts
For this project we were tasked with finding a user with a problem that prevents them from enjoying their every day life to fullest. a.k.a. a Fix-Partner
We found our FixPartner, Catherine, and she has arthritis which is a widespread issue amongst older people.
One thing that gets in her way everyday is her front door handle. To open, close and lock the door it causes her great pain.
With this we started our 5 week project of creating a solution.
Development:
After 5 weeks of research and idea development we came up with a solution.
In its simplest form it is an accessory for the door handle.
With a smooth finish and round wooden ending it provided Catherine with more leverage with her door handle, making it easier than ever to use her door.
